This is a great, friendly and extremely helpful neighborhood hardware store. Where would we be without a hardware store..unable to fix our things! I am thankful for this store. Imagine the cost of the inventory there , just to supply all OUR needs! Thanks for being here Tomchek Ace Hardware.
It's expensive but I can come here and have someone actually help me as opposed to walking around for 5 minutes to find someone who says it isn't thier department.
I would give them 10 stars if it were possible, for the service we received. We were in the process of staining our cabin and they walked us through all the different products and the best way to approach the project. When we informed them that our cabin was 2 1/2 hours away, they said that they would understand if we wanted to purchase our product from someone closer to the project site. (Note, this was over $1000 of products - who does that these days?) We ended up purchasing our product from TOMCHEK Ace Hardware and we are SO glad we did. Everything worked out perfectly with the project and they refunded our money on the unused stain, no questions asked. Truly top shelf service and they will have all our business going forward.
Always disappointed when I come here. They are the only hardware store on that side of Waukesha and it's tempting to stop there rather than head to Menards or Home Depot across town. Still, the selection is poor, pricey and if you get cornered by their "helpful" people, probably talked into buying the wrong thing. Save the trip and head towards Bluemound, you're going to be headed there anyway.
